Westport Rotary Club’s Thomas D. Carey Memorial Award

The Thomas D. Carey Memorial Award honors a life defined by family, service and education.  A dedicated Westport Rotary member and director, Tom exemplified Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”  He had a deep commitment to community involvement and helping others.  He also had a keen intellect and was a lifelong believer in the importance of education.  Tom and his wife, Pat, instilled these same values in their children:  Meaghan, Michael and Brian, all successful Staples High School graduates.  This tuition grant award honors Tom’s legacy by recognizing a graduating student who shares his passion for service, education and making a meaningful difference in the world.
